Ms. Kathleen Kempter Martin
President
Zebra Foundation, Inc.
U.S.A.

Dear Kathleen,

It was a great pleasure to see you again in Kampala. I have been following very closely the progress in the implementation of the letter of intent that was executed between our Ministry of Health and your Zebra Foundation, Inc. to collaborate in combating STDs and HIV/AIDS, among women and adolescent girls in Uganda. The world being one global village, your work in Uganda will benefit brothers and sisters in Sub-Saharan Africa and the world at large.

You know that Uganda is very determined to fight the scourge of HIV/AIDS, so that the infection rate goes below the current 6%. This is a big challenge that requires a lot of social mobilization and resource. Therefore your coming in to supplement the current efforts of government is very timely.

I strongly commend your for any support, especially to implement the requisite clinical trials and testing within Uganda, that are necessary for rolling off your model programme.

I am ready to join in any resource mobilization efforts for the realization of this programme.

Yours sincerely,

Prof. Gilbert B. Bukenya
Vice President
